HD Broadcasts Survey
I was very disappointed that you haven't included any twin city channels in your survey. We live in Minnesota and we need our news and sports broadcast from Minnesota. Especially channels 4,5,and 9. It would be nice to watch ALL the Viking games in HD INSTEAD OF TAKING A BACK SEAT EVERY TIME THE PACKERS PLAY AT THE SAME TIME ON FOX. This also goes for the Twins when they are broadcast on channel 9. I relize there are some blackout issues but there must be some solution as these channels are now broadcast on the digital tier. I have many friends that agree with these comments and hopefully you will consider these requests and resolve this matter in the near future. Please respond to these comments, thankyou in advance.

Thanks for sending us your message concerning Viking games in HD and for being a valued customer of HBC. Unfortunately there are issues that come into play around a second FOX HD signal.
The FCC regulations regarding network and syndicated protection between a local station ( WLAX (local Fox) and KMSP (distant Fox)) would require us to block both the standard definition and high definition signal.
Currently we do not have the technical capability to apply network and syndicated protection for distant broadcast HD channels. In order to do so would require a significant investment in equipment.
We understand and appreciate our customer’s desire to be able to view the Viking games in HD and will be reviewing the feasibility and cost for the 2010 season.

It is very disappointing to have to watch the home state Minnesota Vikings on our flat panel TV in regular definition when the Green Bay Packers are on at the same time...c'mon man, when can we get Fox 9 - KMSP in high definition?

Adding more HD channels
Adding more HD channels would be great.
However, raising the monthly fee would not be great.
Please keep this in mind while you consider adding channels.

Thank you for your message. We are happy to tell you that we will be adding more channels in 2010 and do not plan to have an increase attached to the current monthly charge for HD programming as we add those channels during 2010.

HD service
I would like to know if you have considered a HD value package similar to your digital value package. Currently there aren't any channels that I am interested in in the digital tier but HD would be nice. Might be a good marketing option to have the HD bundle deal as I think more people are interested in HD once they get a new tv than the digital tier channels but could just be my opinion I suppose. The following plans would leave out the digital tier channels to keep the price down if people don't want those channels.
So really could have 2 options
HD value: no digital tier
HD DVR value: no digital tier but hd and dvr

Music channels
A while back, the bluegrass channel was removed from the line up. Are channels like "Throwback Jamz and Retro Rock" more requested than Blugrass? Also, three other channels, "ShowOff, Metal and Alternative" are very similar. What are the chances that you drop one of those and bring back Blugrass?

Unfortunately the music channels are not purchased individually by us but provided by Music Choice as an inclusive package. The Bluegrass channel was removed when they last updated their lineup back in April. If you are interested in learning more about the music choice channels or would like to provide them with feedback the link to their website is http://www.musicchoice.com/. Having worked with the staff there in the past, I know that they are very interested in hearing feedback from their viewers and take it into consideration when making changes to their programming.
